Beam Switcher Versatile Accessory for Microscopy
and Optogenetics Applications



  The Beam Switcher accessory allows Prizmatix LEDs installed on the microscope to be used either for the microscope epi-fluorescence illumination or for illuminating a specimen via a fiberoptic probe.

  The Beam switcher is especially useful for in vitro approaches such as optogenetics with patch-clamp recording in brain slices. The Beam switcher saves cost, space and allows maximum flexibility in experiment design.

  Alternatively, the Beam Switcher is useful for assembling
White LED and single color LED at fluorescence microscope.   Please see below for application examples and optional accesopries

Ultra High Power LEDs (UHP-Mic-LEDs)

The UHP-Mic-LED is a Ultra High Power LED light source for fluorescence microscopy and other applications. The UHP-Mic-LED light source module is an effective replacement of spectral lamps and lasers in many applications. The LEd driver supports CW or external TTL modulation with user-controlled frequency and duty cycle. For more details please refer to Prizmatix special page

Filter Wheel

Fiber Coupler Adaptor

Transform a Prizmatix microscope LED into a fiber coupled light source by adding a Fiber Coupler Adaptor (SMA. CF or ST connector) by simply screwing the adaptor into the front of the LED head See the Fiber Coupler in action in this video (starting at 1:18)

Liquid Light Guide Adaptor

A Prizmatix microscope-LED can be easily changed from direct microscope coupling to a liquid light guide coupled LED with the LLGA adaptor, which simply screws into the front of the LED as shown in this video (starting at 2:31)

Fiber Bundles

Prizmatix can configure and build custom fiber bundles for specific applications.For example: combining outputs of multiple LEDs into a Y-shaped fiber bundle with two or more input branches.
